How can I help my child at home?
Teaching and learning is a complex process - be assured that we are doing everything at school to empower your child to succeed. We are helping them to become independent thinkers who are in charge of their own learning. It is also helpful for new or developing concepts to be reinforced at home. There are many web-based interactive games and practice sites to help with this. In the following pages are some points to keep in mind when helping them with homework or doing work with them, independent of the classroom .....
REMEMBER - Assist them to do the best that they can do. It is OK to help, but make sure that at the end of the process, they feel as though it is their work.
